Final Prep and a Lesson in Planning

The time we’ve spent prepping for this mission has gone by in a flash. It seems like yesterday we sat down for the first bible study. And tomorrow we are leaving!

There have been phone calls and texts between several of us, looking for answers to various questions. “Should I bring…, does our phone work…, does the hotel supply…”? The thing I noticed is that we are already learning to depend on each other.

I finally received the correct shirt for Lynne’s role as Mickey in our skits. My sister dragged out her Cricut equipment and we were able to create, print and transfer “Mickey” onto the back of her shirt! It was a learning experience for me. Not only did I get a crash lesson in crafting something, but I learned a lesson in proper planning. Because I didn’t open the package with the shirts ahead of time (even though I had the package in my dining room for at least a month), I had to rush and hope that I would get a replacement in time to actually use on this trip. Thumbs up to Amazon!

All in all, it worked out and with some team work, it got done. Amen!

I’m certain that if one of us forgets something or if circumstances push us out of our comfort zone, God will help us get through it. I’m choosing faith for the success of our journey together.

Love and Peace,

Darla
